The Mexican banking and fintech App market is entering a new phase in which user satisfaction is becoming a measurable competitive advantage. The latest App Pulse Score© (APS) Survey evaluates how users perceive the leading banking Apps in Mexico, combining satisfaction and trust indicators into a standardized performance framework designed to identify the Apps delivering the strongest overall user experience.
The new sector benchmark establishes 87% of users as FANs and only 4% as CRITICs, resulting in an APP SCORE INDEX of 82.1. These benchmarks provide a reference point for evaluating App performance across the market. An APP SCORE INDEX above 80 indicates that an App is operating at a high level of customer satisfaction and trust, while the gap between FANs and CRITICs provides an additional perspective on the strength and consistency of the user experience.

APS Score: 90,8 - Fans rate: 90,5% - Critics rate: 3,8%
Strong Points
Users consistently highlight the app’s ease of use, describing it as “very easy” and “really easy to use.” The core user experience is accessible and requires limited effort to navigate, supporting a positive perception among users.
The app is also perceived as fast and reliable, with users referring to its good performance and praising its mechanisms. This indicates that speed and functional execution are important strengths that contribute to overall satisfaction.
Another positive theme is the value and variety of the financial offering. Users specifically praise the plans and the availability of different options, including their usefulness for people looking to improve their credit score. This positions the app as more than a transactional tool, with perceived value in supporting users’ broader financial goals.
Pain Points
Transaction-related fees emerge as the clearest commercial friction point. Users specifically criticize commissions charged on every payment, arguing that interest or an upfront credit fee would be preferable. Reducing, restructuring, or communicating these fees more transparently could lower barriers to credit utilization, particularly among responsible repeat customers.
Navigation remains a usability weakness for some users. Feedback mentions difficulty returning to previous screens. Improving gesture support, back-navigation consistency, and screen transitions could make the experience feel more intuitive and aligned with modern mobile-app conventions.
Account information changes appear unnecessarily cumbersome. Users report being required to send emails, multiple documents, and selfies to change basic information such as their email address or phone number. While additional verification may be necessary for security, simplifying the process or providing a clearer in-app workflow could reduce friction without compromising account protection. -

The highest APS performance in Mexico is led by DIDI FINANZAS: RÁPIDO Y SEGURO, which achieved an App Pulse Score© of 90.8 and entered the Excellence Zone. Its result places the App above the sector benchmark and indicates an exceptionally strong level of satisfaction across the measured indicators.
MERCADO PAGO: CUENTA DIGITAL follows closely with an APS of 90.3, also placing it in the Excellence Zone. The result positions MERCADO PAGO among the strongest-performing financial Apps in the Mexican market and demonstrates a level of user satisfaction and trust consistent with the highest APS performance category.
NU MEXICO ranks third with an APS of 88.4, placing it in the High-Performer Zone. Although its score is below the 90-point threshold for the Excellence Zone, it remains substantially within the range associated with very high customer satisfaction and trust.
The broader distribution of Apps shows that 2% of Apps analyzed are positioned in the Excellence Zone, while 4% reach the High-Performer Zone. This concentration indicates that achieving a high level of user satisfaction remains a differentiating factor rather than a standard outcome across the market. The APS framework therefore makes it possible to distinguish the small group of Apps that significantly outperform the broader competitive landscape.
An APS score between 90 and 100 corresponds to the Excellence Zone. This represents outstanding performance across all measured indicators and identifies Apps capable of serving as benchmarks for user experience and trust. Reaching this level means that an App is not simply satisfying users; it is demonstrating a consistently superior experience that sets a reference point for the industry.
Scores from 80 to 89 correspond to the High-Performer Zone. This range represents very high satisfaction and trust and identifies top-tier Apps within the industry. Apps in this zone are performing strongly against user expectations, although they have not yet reached the level of consistency and overall performance associated with the Excellence Zone.
