MARKET OVERVIEW

Argentina’s banking and fintech apps have a substantial base of enthusiastic users, but satisfaction remains uneven across the market. The October 2026 survey analyzed more than 10.000 valid responses covering 20 apps. The study uses APS from Cassuarina Labs—formally, App Pulse Score© (APS)—to translate respondents’ qualitative feedback into a user-satisfaction index on a 0–100 scale.

The average APS score across the evaluated apps was 51, placing the market in the Moderate performance level. This indicates an average perception that balances positive and negative experiences: stable, but not distinctive. For product teams, clearing this average is a starting point; building a competitive advantage requires a stronger satisfaction profile.

Based on the average responses and comments across all apps evaluated, survey results show that 61% of respondents’ qualitative feedback fell into “Love It” (81–100), while 3.9% fell into “Very disappointed” (21–40) and 25% into “Frustrated” (0–20). These figures describe satisfaction-category averages across the surveyed apps, rather than the experience of every Argentine banking customer. The contrast is striking: widespread enthusiasm coexists with a substantial concentration of deeply negative experiences.

The performance spread reinforces that uneven picture. One app achieved High Performance, two ranked as Strong, five as Solid and three as Moderate. Below those levels, one was Developing, five were Underperforming and three were Vulnerable. The market therefore offers several examples of stronger satisfaction, alongside a sizeable group still struggling to establish a positive overall perception.

For apps targeting a stronger position against peers, the survey’s competitive benchmarks are an APS score of at least 73.3, Fans% of at least 82% and Critics% of no more than 13%. These targets go beyond simply exceeding the country average: they pair a stronger overall score with broad positive sentiment and a smaller critical share.

The product lesson is to manage both sides of satisfaction. Strong enthusiasm deserves attention, but it should not obscure the experiences generating frustration. Teams can use the survey’s qualitative responses to identify those problems and prioritize improvements, while tracking whether their overall satisfaction metrics move toward the competitive benchmarks.
